dan
STEEL GUITAR, BANJO, DOBRO, GUITAR, VOCALS
Dan’s passion for music began at the age of six, when he first strummed his dad’s old Gibson guitar. The instrument was so large that it had to rest beside him on the bed because he was too small to hold it upright in his lap. As he grew, his love for music only deepened, expanding from guitar to banjo and eventually to the dobro.

Raised in rural northwestern Wisconsin, Dan spent much of his childhood making music at family gatherings with his father, brothers, aunts, uncles, and many cousins. By his mid-teens, he was performing at clubs and festivals with a couple of bands.

In his twenties, Dan was introduced to the pedal steel guitar and immediately fell in love with it. From that point on, the path was set. For more than four decades, he has performed a wide range of music with numerous bands across the United States and Canada—and he has no plans to retire any of his instruments anytime soon.
